Dogs just adore cheese! Cheese is a natural, healthy, protein-packed treat with Vitamin A, B-complex vitamins, and essential fatty acids. However, it is high in fats – so bear this in mind when planning their overall diets. I only ever use cathedral City Extra Mature Cheddar – aged cheddar has less lactose than other cheeses.
Pineapple contains vitamin C, riboflavin, thiamin, niacin, folate, and vitamin B6. It also packs a number of healthy minerals, like potassium, calcium, and zinc. All of these provide a boost to your dog’s immune and digestive system. Pineapple is rich in natural sugar – but I only ever use fresh pineapple not the tinned heavy syrupy ones – so a little treat now and again will be fine.
